Trinity House

Soup kitchens to provide nightly dinner and a Gospel message

In 2010 I was approached by a couple to take over an inner-city soup kitchen.  Trinity House provides a hot dinner and a Gospel message nightly.  As I contemplated this opportunity, my thoughts were directed to the story of Jesus and the feeding of the multitudes.  My conclusion, it’s easier for someone to listen to the gospel of Christ on a full stomach rather than an empty one.  Many take advantage of this soup kitchen.  Many have heard the gospel.  Many have attended church.  Making folks a part of the fellowship is the goal.  Pastor James Dowdy and Keeping the Faith Baptist Church runs and oversees Trinity House faithfully. In addition to Trinity House I @ E. 10th St. three more feeding centers have begun in Fountain Square, Haughville and Garfield Park. As a result over 600 people are being fed monthly.
